![]() I know it's a fine line for narrators to get a good balance between interesting or accurate to almost becoming caricatures but there didn't even sam to be an attempt here. He didn't seem to have much range in other voices either. They were so bad is was almost laughable. ![]() Then there's the supposed Yorkshire accents. firstly, his pronunciation of the name Aimee is just downright annoying. When her just talking as Jerry, it's ok if a little monotone, but the rest is awful. The fact it was Richard E Grant gave me confidence as well. Also, given the story is told from the main male character, it made sense for a man to narrate it. I preferred to get this version as whilst Joan hickson was great in the tv role, her narration isn't. ![]() I got this audiobook as, even for it's faults, this is probably my favourite Marple story (Even though she's not in it much). ![]()
